History
The Hakim Development fund began with a family feud that led to a little boy
being orphaned. This boy, plagued by hunger and disease, followed his heart with a strength and resolve that seems almost
impossible... but nothing is impossible through the love of God. Afzal's Story is one of courage, drama, danger, anger and, ultimately, faithfulness.
Vision
The Hakim Development Fun is a non-profit organizatin that exists to improve the
quality of life for the people of two districts of Bangladesh - Mathbaria and Faridpur. These areas exist at a poverty
level few Americans can comprehend: no electricity, no running water, wide spread and frequent flooding, bacteria-contaminated
drinking wells and no industry on which to build a better lifestyle.
Purpose
The Hakim Development Fund seeks to give hope to these people and improve their lifestyle
in three specific ways:
1. Food, Clothing, and Materials...that improve the standard of
living to a level that enables good physical health.
2.
Opportunities...to develop industries that will allow the villages
to build toward self-sufficiency.
Educating the orphans is part
of this goal.
3. Christ's message of love...sharing
the gospel when hearts
and minds are prepared to hear it.
